We are committed to using water responsibly throughout the retreat. Rainwater harvesting, water-efficient irrigation systems, dual-flush toilets and thoughtfully designed native gardens allow us to conserve water while enhancing the natural beauty of our grounds.

Our landscaped gardens feature drought-tolerant plants that thrive in the local climate, creating habitats that support native wildlife while requiring minimal irrigation.

Wherever possible, we choose locally sourced and Australian-made products, work with regional suppliers and artisans, and select environmentally friendly cleaning products, biodegradable materials and recycled paper products.

Caring for Our Bushland

The natural environment surrounding Amaroo is at the heart of the experience we offer.

Protecting and enhancing our bushland remains an ongoing priority. We actively maintain native gardens, protect wildlife habitats, manage invasive weeds without the use of harmful pesticides and undertake ongoing bushland conservation initiatives.

Each year, we plant at least 50 native seedlings to encourage biodiversity and help ensure our beautiful surroundings continue to flourish for generations to come.

We employ local staff, purchase from local suppliers and encourage our guests to discover nearby attractions, businesses and experiences throughout the region.
